The exhibition unfolds hidden layers that shape life and knowledge, where biology and science are not fixed, but constantly shifting and reforming.
Developed by artists in microbiology labs, the works emerge from close collaboration, hands on experimentation, and sustained exchange with scientists, moving between research, reflection, and speculation. Artists Anna Dumitriu, Solveig Lill, Pei-Ying Lin, and Helen Pynor translate lab processes into artistic language, working with lab materials, microscopy, and embodied practices to reveal science as something lived, tactile, and deeply human. The exhibition highlights imagination in dialogue with researching the unseen, care and repetition as core forces behind scientific work, usually hidden behind data and results. Across speculative documentary, textile translations, meditative drawings, and immersive close-ups of lab techniques, the works blur boundaries between knowledge, material, and experiment.
Moving between precision and uncertainty, In Formation opens up a space where knowledge, images, and meanings stay fluid, always in the process of forming.
