The 2026 Beer Garden season is just around the corner!
Starting Saturday, March 28th,
and Sunday, March 29th,
we will be open again from 12 PM –
weather permitting, if we are lucky enough to get some sunshine.
No reservations, just drop by!

Please note: Drinks and snacks (Brotzeit) are available in the self-service area. Hot dishes can be ordered when paying at the register. These are freshly prepared for you and can be picked up 5–10 minutes later at the counter.

Head outdoors – and straight to the beautiful beer garden at the Muffatwerk! In addition to classic beer garden dishes, you'll find crisp salads as well as organic fish and meat. We also place great value on quality in our beverage selection: alongside the classic Munich beer from Hofbräu, we offer organic draft beer from Lammsbräu, selected wines, and espresso. For the little ones, there's a sandbox and organic ice cream – and for the grown-ups, a unique historical setting right by the Isar meadows.
Fancy a break in the green? Come and visit us – our beer garden is located right next to the Isarauen, offering a relaxed atmosphere and truly delicious food.
In addition to classic beer garden dishes, we also serve fresh salads, vegan options, as well as fish and meat sourced from sustainable and organic farming. We deliberately prioritize quality over mass production. Wherever possible, our ingredients come from local producers who work with great care and respect for nature and animals. This approach comes at a price – but we believe it's worth it! After all, good food can be a small contribution to a better future.
Our commitment to quality extends to drinks as well: alongside Munich's Hofbräu beer, we offer organic beer from Lammsbräu on tap, selected wines, coffee, and soft drinks – all in organic quality. For the little ones, there's organic ice cream and a sandbox; for the grown-ups, the beautiful backdrop of Muffatwerk – whether seated on classic beer benches or lounging in deck chairs.
Here, it's not just about eating and drinking – it's about mindful enjoyment.

The beer garden offers 400 seats in a sunny south-west location. 100 of the seats are sheltered from too much sun or rain by Munich's largest awning!
The location on the 70 km long Isar bike trail (from Wolfratshausen to Freising) is unique: it is surrounded by greenery but right next to a listed industrial site. Cyclists will find plenty of bike racks, smaller kids can play in a sandpit and the bigger ones can find some entertainment at a public playground only 150 meters away.
Since its opening in August 2002, the "Biergarten am Muffatwerk" has been an insider tip and has received excellent reviews in local newspapers. With its unique location right by the Isar, the late opening hours and the wide range of dishes and drinks, our beer garden fills a gap in Munich's outdoor gastronomy.
